G’day everyone! How’s it going?

 

This site is inspired by my nan, Lily Eileen, and my mother, Faye Dulcie. I miss them daily and often find myself recalling their words of wisdom and unique perspectives, more than I ever thought I would. Honestly, these two remarkable women influenced my life more than I realized, and I will be forever grateful to have had them as my family.

Currently, I have 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, but there’s still plenty of time to add to that count. In fact, two of my grandsons are set to become fathers in August,  which will bring my total to 23 grandkids! What can I say? I really didn’t have much to do with that side of things!

In these musings of mine, you will find old-fashioned tips and tricks—though we call them hacks nowadays. Growing up, there wasn’t a lot of disposable income in our household, so I learned to be flexible and always looked for creative solutions. Whether it was an item I wanted but couldn’t afford or a situation that wasn’t entirely to my liking, I often found myself saying to my children, “Nan would have…”
